My oldest son, Trent, has been keeping a journal now for a few weeks. I thought that was a pretty big deal for a six year old, so I asked him if he'd like to post one of his journal entries on my blog. He was excited, and has accepted my offer.

Yesterday I played baseball on a real field (The Dr. Pepper ballpark at Ameriquest Field in Arlington, TX). It was very cool to play on a real field! I also got to go with my friend ,Caden, to a party for his Mimi's birthday. I was very good and nice there, and after that I went to Caden's house to spend the night and I had a really fun time! We watched Star Wars for a little while, and we talked about how King Kong has stinky arm pits.

congrats on your first blog trent. i think king kong has stinky arm pits too. that's why that girl he was holding passed out so much during the first part of the movie.
Way to go with your journal and blog, Trent! You know who else has stinky arm pits? Your daddy, that's who. I think you should start calling him King Kong. :)
Hey Trent. Your Daddy used to play for a football team called the Freaky Ray Corn Buzzards, and when the football game was over, all of our pits smelled worse than King Kong's. Not even showers would help. Come see me in Louisiana sometime! Your friend, Steve Barton
I've read a few of the posts here, Steve. But I have to say that this is my favorite. The thing about King Kong's stinky armpits is quintessential kid stuff, and I just howled! It's like looking through a window into my own childhood.
