Those of you who have never been to the LSU campus, and especially to a Tiger football game, will never be able to fully appreciate the sadness of this day.
LSU's wonderful mascot, Mike V, has died. Mike was recently given a new habitat, and I guess the new diggs were too much for Mike's Tiger heart to handle. The first time I saw Mike was in 1987, when I went to my first LSU football game. Mike lived in a cramped little cage near the Peat Maravich Assembly Center (PMAC). It'll be very interesting to see Mike VI. He'll have a sweet new home to live in thanks to his successor. RIP, big Mike.
