Mel Gibson Recieves Counseling

OK, it's bad, but I couldn't help posting this picture. Lord, please forgive me.

This picture isn't bad, evil or anything else. It's a production still from Mel Gibson's movie. He's working with Jim Caviezel, obviously between takes of the scenes leading up to the crucifiction.
I actually think it is healthy, and smart, for us Christians to remember that Mel's film was a film, and Jesus was merely being portrayed by an actor. Regardless of your impression of the film, or the impact it might have had on you, it was still the work of a bunch of people. Mere mortals like you and me. The true story being told is obviously of eternal significance, but the rest is celluloid (or pixels) no more significant then Star Wars or an episode of America's Funniest Home Videos.
I seriously doubt Mel and his crew conducted the entire production in reverence and awe of what they were portraying. I am sure they had their moments, but in the end, they are just people doing their jobs.

Thanks for the comments, but you kind of missed the point of the post. It's obviously a production pic from the movie, but the point was to show that Jesus was giving Mel counseling for his wrongheaded drunken tyraid about Jews. I thought it was funny, but a bit in poor taste. I still think that. It's just too funny to not post.

By the way, I totally agree with your assessment of the film.
